This Privacy Notice explains how Gigly apps ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use Gig.ly (the "Service"). Gigly apps is the data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with the Service.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data — email address, and where you sign in with Google or Apple, the identifier and basic profile returned by that provider.
- Driver settings & profile — vehicle details, fuel economy, and the earning thresholds you configure.
- Offer & earnings data — the delivery offers you scan (including screenshots you submit for scanning), scan results, logged earnings, and daily stats.
- Usage & device data — app interactions, telemetry, approximate location or region you enter, device identifiers, and IP address.
- Support & feedback — messages you send us.
2. How we use your data
- to create and operate your account and provide the Service;
- to scan offers, calculate estimates, and sync your history across devices;
- to provide customer support and respond to feedback;
- to secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse;
- to improve and develop the Service; and
- to communicate with you about the Service.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), your consent (for example, optional marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share your data
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, authentication, and email providers that operate the Service on our behalf.
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record for Gig.ly Pro, which processes payments, manages subscriptions, and handles billing, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Authentication providers — Google and Apple, if you choose to sign in with them.
- Authorities and advisers — where required by law, or to professional advisers such as legal and accounting.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at Giglydriver@gmail.com. If we transfer data outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and local storage
Gig.ly uses your browser's local storage and essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and sync your data. We do not use these for advertising. You can clear this data in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
